Why you should hire a social media/reels assistant on the wedding day y’all! 👇🏻

The reality is, social media is HUGE in our industry and it’s how brides are finding us! Frankly, as much as I am a ham and enjoy doing BTS on wedding days, I don’t have time to capture it all and I don’t have the ability/capacity to think about cute reels ideas on top of managing and executing a 17 hour wedding day!

That’s when our social media/reels assistants come in! They follow us around for the wedding day and create epic videos for us to share on social media like the one you see here! Here are three examples of things that they have helped us with in the past and things you can have a social media/reels assistant do for you.

🎉Have them do a reel for the bridal party transformation. We find that the bridal party LOVES participating in this and so does the bride. You can have them take a video of the girls in their robes or pajamas jumping. And then another video when they are in their dresses.

🎉Have them capture you sending everyone down the aisle. This will show off your talents and gives potential couples an insight as to what it’s like working with you on the wedding day.

🎉Have them create a reel of your couple’s first look and all that goes into it as vendors. We all know how crazy first looks can be so showing people an inside look as to all that has to be done to pull them off is a great behind the scenes and people LOVE a good emotional moment.

Now you may be wondering what to pay them? We typically don’t have them stay the entire day. We figure out beforehand what we want them to focus on and have them come on-site for around 5-6 hours. They typically provide their rate, which is usually around $300-$600 depending on what is involved and we ask a couple other vendors if they would be willing to split the cost if they got access to the videos too. Now keep in mind, this only works if the social media assistant focuses on something that all vendors can use, rather than just you! But by doing it this way, you don’t have to spend a fortune at each wedding. We’ve even worked with photography teams that offer this as a part of the package and the couple pays for it!
